Oklahoma State sophomore Taylor Roe took second in the women's 6-kilometer race Monday in 20:06.7 at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships on her home course in Stillwater. It equaled the best female finish at a national championship cross country race in program history, matching the runner-up effort of Jacqueline Goodman in 1987, and the fourth-fastest 6-kilometer performance by an Oklahoma State women's competitor. Roe was the first Oklahoma State female athlete to place in the top 10 since Goodman finishing ninth in 1989. Roe helped the Cowgirls place 24th overall with 535 points. Roe also followed teammates Molly Born and Taylor Somers, who were All-Americans at the 2019 final at the LaVern Gibson course in Terre Haute, Ind.
