Oklahoma State sophomore Ryan Smeeton won the men's invitational section of the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a collegiate-leading 8:27.90 at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field. Smeeton elevated to No. 2 in the world this year, achieving the IAAF World Championships standard.
